"RE: Oz Assist helping Foothills Community Care to obtain a Charity Status and becoming a Deductable Gift Recipient

In July 2018 we asked Peter Crosby of Oz Assist, to look into our situation regarding our then “status” with the ACNC. On Peters advise we completely reorganised our Model Rules with Consumer Affairs Victoria and then applied to the ACNC for “Charity” status.

After discussions with the ACNC, they accepted Foothills Community Care, as a Charity and we then applied to be a Deductable Gift Recipient ( DGR), so we could give a “tax deductable” receipt.

The whole process, with Peters help, only took 3 months to complete and at a low cost. We have been previously advised that this process could take up to 6-8 months and be very costly.

I would wholly recommend Peter and Oz Assist to any Non- Profit, who either wants to become a Charity and / or including DGR or any group considering to become a non- profit."
